The team here at Epicure are delighted that our new web site is ready before the Christmas rush. Indeed we have also launched a new brochure for those who like to flick pages!

The following is an excerpt from the Press Release which marked the launch of the site in October 2011.

"The simultaneous launch of the catalogue and the website will give sales a huge boost this winter" states Dan Carlin, Managing Director. "We feel we are catering for both ends of the market. The older more traditional Chef likes to flick through the brochure, to lift the phone and quote the codes he wants to a human being. The younger generation will turn to the laptop and may surf the net in their free time. Website sales are a whole different process. Younger buyers will surf on average 4 sites before returning to their 'best fit' or 'site of choice', and they may not return during the same browsing session."

Epicure's sales team are confident that the new website has the right mix of products, openly quoted prices, menu ideas and background information to entice the busy modern caterer. "We are all about interaction with our customers" states Mr Carlin with some confidence. "We have stopped short of having an on-line shopping basket simply because we would prefer to meet face-to–face with customers or at least talk on the phone to determine the outlets exact requirements."

Initial feedback has been that our catalogue size (20 pages, 400 products) is a nice size. We pride ourselves on carrying only proven selling lines.
